About Grace Church

Grace is a diverse congregation made up of people of all walks of life and from all over Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We meet every Sunday at 10:00 AM at 3700 Dorr St., just west of the University of Toledo campus, for heartfelt worship and Christ-centered preaching. It’s important to us to avoid labels like conservative or liberal; instead, we try to focus on Jesus, discerning what he is doing in, and saying to, our community, and following him as faithfully as we can. We would love for you to join us for worship this coming Sunday morning!

We exist to glorify God as his faithful people through building a community to reach a community.

There’s no pretense at Grace Church. You come as you are and we come as we are. We’re not here to put on a show or provide entertainment. We gather together to worship the living God who loves us, who wants to speak to us, and who wants to be glorified through us. If you’ve never experienced the love and grace of God, or if it’s been a long time since you have, then Grace Church is the place for you. If you feel unworthy, unwanted, or unloved, then Grace Church is the place for you. If you feel like you don’t belong anywhere, then you belong here. Come join us. We’ve been waiting for you.

BUILDING A COMMUNITY TO REACH A COMMUNITY.

Reflect: Message Notes from 7.16.2017

We would like  to start offering some resources from each week’s Sunday message – the quotes that were used, maybe additional Bible passages or study content that the speaker could not fit into the message, books or websites with more information on the passage or topic, etc. This past Sunday, July 16, Mary Brack spoke […]

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. – 1 Peter 2:9-10

Listen to our

Messages

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is authoritative for every believer. Because we hold the Scriptures in such high regard, we almost always preach a message series through an entire book or section of Scripture. While we occasionally preach topically, these messages, as with all of our preaching, is exegetical–which means that we study very hard to communicate the original meaning of each passage.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. -1 John 4:10-11

In the Community

Reaching the Community

One of the main ways Grace Church reaches the community is through our partnership with Keyser Elementary School. This partnership, which began in 2006, is an opportunity for Grace Church to connect with and serve the students and families in the community surrounding the church, as well as the staff and teachers at the school. Our belief that God blesses His people in order that they become a blessing to others has been the catalyst to our journey in adopting a school. Our goal in partnering with Keyser is to be God’s presence and blessing to the staff, students, and families of the school, as well as the community in the neighborhoods surrounding our church. Relationship is key to all that we do with the school and community.

What does a church-school partnership look like? Our hope is that it will look a little different for each church-school partnership as each church discovers the needs of their partner school and then partners with God’s Spirit as they look to His leading in how to meet those needs.
